Sakuragaoka High School (桜丘高校, sakuragaoka koukou) is a major location where most of the events belonging to the Love Series take place. Characters from both series attend it, however in the Idol Series only 3 characters are confirmed to belong to this High School, while in the Love Series all of them attend it at some point in time.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Sakuragaoka is a standard three-year japanese public high school located in Tokyo. It's a school active both in academics and extracurricular activities, counting with multiple school clubs in both the arts and sports.

Clubs[edit | edit source]

Art Club: Sakuragaoka's art club is well known for its success, winning a medal every year ever since the school was established. Despite this, the club is very laid back and while it's main focus seems to be on painting, sculpture, etc. there's also members who join due to the school lacking a manga club and focus on illustration and comics. Through the first generation of the Love Series, Hayasaka Akari is the president and Aida Miou is the vice-president, both chosen due to their skills and recognition, with another notable member being Enomoto Natsuki.[1] Later on, Aida Miou becomes an art teacher and presumably the club's advisor.

Film Club: The film club is Sakuragaoka's newest club, officially founded by Serizawa Haruki, Mochizuki Souta and Setoguchi Yuu during their first year and becoming an official school club during their second year as underclassmen began to join. This shows in the fact that the club room is an empty classroom that used to be a storage room in the highest floor of the building, being rearranged by the founding members and Natsuki in order to make it into a proper club room. During the first generation's last year, the club is sponsored by the student council to release their graduation commemoration movie a day before their graduation ceremony.[2] Their club advisor is Akechi Saku.

Gardening Club: The gardening club is a small club, with most of the members graduating and leaving Ayase Koyuki as the sole member and president of the club during his third year. Despite the attempts of the graduating students at garnering attention for the club, no underclassmen seem to be joining.[3]

Track and Field Club: One of the most distinguished clubs in Sakuragaoka, with the school constantly getting invited to competitions. During her first year, Setoguchi Hina joins this club and keeps at it through her time in highschool.[4] Later on, Suzumi Hiyori's middle school homeroom teacher invites the Sakuragaoka advisor to watch Hiyori run after she mentioned wanting to attend a high school with a track and field club, and she gets invited to study in Sakuragaoka and join the club when Hina is in her second year.[5]

Light Music Club: Hamanaka Midori belongs to this club.

Photography Club: Yamamoto Koudai belongs to this club.

Go Home Club: Someya Yuujirou and Shibasaki Aizou belong to this club.
